Help!!! I really can't stand my dandy-lion hair looking, frizzy hair one second longer! How can I make it lie down and look normal?

I'm really flattered that FaVE asked me to be the first guest beauty editor, and I hope that the tips I am passing on to you will help you as much as they've helped me! I'm lucky that my hair is naturally straight. It does have a slight wave to it and believe me, I have my days when I wish I could just shave it all off! Sometimes, after shampooing my hair tends to be a little "fluffy" and fly-away. I discovered some methods that helped these conditions, and I know they also work for frizzies.

CONDITIONING

The most important thing is to use shampoos and conditioners that are best suited for your type of hair and scalp ... dry, normal, or oily. Experiment until you find one that brings out the best results.

Frizzies are caused either by super naturally curly hair, hair that's had too much done to it (bleaching, too many permanents, exposure to the wind and the sun), or even misuse of rollers!

To get your hair into a healthy condition, pamper it with crme rinses and conditioners. You don't need to buy the most expensive ones either! You'll find terrific hair conditioners in your own kitchen. One I really like is olive oil. Just work the oil into your hair and scalp and massage for a few minutes.

Be sure and concentrate on the ends. Then shampoo as usual. If your hair is really dry, try wrapping a hot, damp towel around it after the oil treatment and before shampooing. The heat and moisture helps the oil to penetrate deeper into the hair.

ROLLERS

The best rule to remember if you have frizzies is that the larger the roller used to curling hair, the better. Size is very important because the smaller the roller is the tighter the curl will be.

Also try using a hand blower on your hair before curling it. Direct the air downwards on each section of hair while running a comb through it. This helps a lot. It's almost a home method of hair straightening!

A small amount of setting gel applied to each section of hair before curling will help those stubborn little curls to lie flat on the roller! But don't go overboard. Too much will make your hair straight ---but stiff!

Above all, don't get discouraged. Everyone has their off days when nothing about their hair seems to go right. But if you try some of these tips I guarantee that those "off" days will come less and less. Have-fun-let me know if things "straighten" up for you!
