Harry James Van Keuren was the youngest son of James William Van Keuren and his second wife Marryetta Sutton. He was born on Jan 9, 1877, in (Wheeling?) West Virginia, and moved to St Paul, Minnesota.

In St Paul, Harry married Mabel Rose Boucher at St Joseph's Church on Jan 1, 1911, at a service presided over by the Rev. P. (or O.) J. Rowan. The witnesses were Mrs. G.E. Sarpenter and Miss Belle Boucher (sister?). Mabel was of French Canadian background, born in the Mississippi river town of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Lucille Cherrier and Everest Peter Boucher.

Harry worked as an interior decorator.

Harry and Mabel had four children:

Harry died in 1940, probably in St Paul, Minnesota.

Mabel lived in St Paul after Harry's death, with her daughter Lois. For several years they lived in a duplex on the corner of Lafond and Syndicate in St Paul, a block from Mabel's daughter-in-law, Glenna Kerker Van Keuren, and her children Robert and Thomas.

In the late 1950s, Mabel and Lois moved to Arlington, Virginia, where they lived together the rest of their lives. Mabel traveled occasionally to see her son Bob Sr. in Syracuse, NY. Mabel died in 1973 or '74.
