Garret (Garrit) Van Keuren was born on 2 Nov 1746 in Kingston, NY, was baptized on 9 Nov 1746 in the Old Dutch Church in Kingston, and died on 21 Jan 1800, also in Kingston. He married Margreitje Sleght on 19 Nov 1780.
Garret like his father qualifies his descendants for membership in
the DAR and the SAR. He served in Colonel Bogardus's regiment from 1775
to the close of the war. The Revolutionary period is usually calculated
as being from 1763 to 1783 with the War itself from 1775 to 1783.
Again like his father, he was a Trustee of Kingston (1785-1793),
and like his ancestors was baptized in the Old Dutch Church in Kingston.
Garret and Margreitje had five children.
