The DBINQ - Davis-Bacon Data Inquiry menu option is used to inquire on Davis-Bacon data.
You select a state, and the general decisions you want to inquire on. Information on the decision(s) is displayed, and you can scroll through the data.

The PROTEST - Davis-Bacon Protest Cover Letter menu option is used to create a protest cover letters which goes with the wage determination information.
You are asked for some information that is needed to create the protest cover letter (e.g. state, general decision number, project location, etc.), and the letter is created.

International: highest organizational level of UBC
Council: organizational level under international;
made up of locals; the councils are divided into Districts
Local: the affiliation organization level that members
belong to
branch: sub-group of local; used by locals with wider
geographic regions
member: any person who has completed an application to
join the UBC, paid the necessary fees and been accepted (exceptions are
those people who join as Agency Shop or Beck Objector classifications;
they are not considered full members of the Union but are included in
dues paying rosters)
applicant: a person who has completed an application
to join the UBC, but is paying the initiation fee in installments;
after all the initiation fee has been paid, will be a full member
initiation date: the date a person becomes a member
re-initiate: allows a person who was once a member, to
join again with a new initiation date (service time, fees and dues
start again)
re-instate: allows a prior member to re-join,
retaining previous initiation date and previously accumulated service
time by catching up all unpaid dues and fees
dues: money assessed all members on a monthly basis
dues group codes: indicates level/rate at which
members are assessed dues (i.e. apprentice 1, journeyman, retired)
dues charges: dues charged to a member
dues payments: dues paid by the member
receipts: acknowledgment of payments made by a member
arrears: status of a member that is past due in
payments; member not put into arrears status until they are 3 months
past due
suspended: after 6 months in arrears on dues
membership is suspended
dispensation: policy of waiving fees, or rules for
becoming an officer, etc., in certain circumstances when requested by
an affiliate
transfer out: process of moving a member out of
his/her current local
transfer in: process of moving a member into a new
local
dispatch: process to refer out of work members to job
openings
day book: recording of daily/monthly receipts
apprentice: member enrolled in a 4 year craft/skill
training program
journeyman: a member who has completed the apprentice
program
tax code/schedule: indication of industrial or
construction showing rates charged by the International for per capita
tax and initiation fee
initiation fee: amount charged by the local to the
member for joining; also an amount charged by the International to the
local for each member initiated
per capita tax: amount charged by the International to
the local, per member of the local; some councils also charge per
capita tax to their locals
craft codes: code which indicates type of job a member
performs (i.e. carpenter, diver, millwright)
skill codes: specific skill codes used for
qualifications for job referral
delegate: elected local representative to the
International convention
officer: elected union official
checkoff dues: also known as assessment dues and working dues; these are withheld by the employer and remitted to the Union; typically, a percent of gross pay
