SSN/SIN found in JATC File

If the entered SSN/SIN is found in the pending JATC file, some information on that person is displayed, and you are asked what you want to do.

Select "Use another SSN/SIN or GENERATE" to return to the SSN/SIN prompt where you can enter a different SSN/SIN or enter 'GENERATE' to generate a temporary SSN/SIN.

Select "Abandon Bring Pending JATC to Membership" to skip this person and go to the next pending apprentice entry.

29.2.5 Completing Data Entry

You are now asked for the name, address and other information, the same as when you are entering a new member.

You can refer to "New Member Entry" if you need help with any of the prompts.

After all the information is entered, you are asked if you want to bring this pending JATC person to membership.

Select "Yes" to bring this pending JATC to membership.

Select "No" to return to the previous prompt.

If "Yes", the pending JATC is moved to membership, and you are asked if you want to enter any notes.

After you enter notes or not, you can press [Enter] to proceed with entering the initiation fees and dues charges and payments as needed.

JATCINQ - Pending JATC Inquiry

The JATCINQ - Pending JATC Inquiry procedure allows you to do inquiries on pending JATC data. You can inquire on a single or selected pending JATC apprentices, and create reports, labels and export files.

30.1 Pending JATC Inquiry Screen

When the JATCINQ menu item is selected, the following screen is displayed:

30.2 Prompts and Responses

The following sections describe the prompts and responses entered when you inquire on pending JATC apprentices.

Pending Apprentice

You are asked for the pending apprentice.



 Pending Apprentice? ALL___________________________ 
 
                     Enter ALL or UBC ID, or SSN/SIN, or Name 

Enter "ALL" to get a report of pending apprentices. If "ALL", you will be prompted for selection information.

Enter a UBC ID or SSN/SIN or name to display information for a single pending apprentice.

30.2.1 Pending Apprentice Display

If you entered a UBC ID or SSN/SIN or name, information for the pending apprentice is displayed. For example:

If you selected "ALL" at the pending apprentice prompt, the following screen is displayed, and you are asked for selection information.

Note: General Office users can select one or all districts and one or all councils. Local and Council users can only select JATC pending apprentices within their council.

You are asked to select the statuses that you want to include.

Date Range

You provide the start and end dates of the time period that you want to report on.

First, you are asked for the start date.

                  Enter FIRST to start at the first pending date 

The default date is "FIRST" which is the oldest pending date.

Press [Enter] to accept the default start date, or enter a start date in MMDDYYYY format.

You are asked for the end date.



 Entered Pending To (MMDDYYYY)? LAST____ 
 
                    Enter LAST to end at the last pending date 

The default end date is "LAST" which is the latest date.

Press [Enter] to accept the default end date, or enter an end date in MMDDYYYY format.

The end date can not be in the future.

Sort Order

The selected records can be sorted by two fields.

You are asked for the first field that you want to sort on.

Select the first field that you want to sort by.

If you select a field from the menu, you can then select a second field to sort by.

Proceed

You are asked if you want to proceed with record selection.

Select "Yes" to continue with record selection.

Select "No" to return to the previous prompt.

If "Yes", the records are selected, and you are asked if you want to create a report, labels or an export file.

Select one of the output options from the menu. You can perform one or more of the options as needed. Select "Finished" when you are done creating a report, labels and/or an export file.

Output Option - Export File

If you selected "export file" as the output option, the export file is created, and the following message is displayed:

The export file can now be downloaded to your PC.

Press [Enter] to return to the output options menu.

Contents of Export File

The first record in the JATC export file is the header record which contains the following data:


"ubc id","council id","jatc id","last name","first name","middle name",

"pending date","birthdate","sex","phone","nat_lang","class","craft",

MEMINQ - Member Inquiry

The UBCJA system allows you to inquire/review member data. When you inquire on a member, you can also:

NOTE: If you are inquiring on a member NOT in your affiliate or jurisdiction, limited member data is displayed, and the above options are NOT available. However, the telephone number of the member's affiliate is displayed, and you can contact the affiliate for more information on the member.

You can inquire/review member data by selecting the MEMINQ option on the menu.

After the member inquiry screen is displayed, you provide the member name or member ID that you want to inquire on.

If there are any general alert notes for this member, you are asked if you want to view these notes.

Select "Yes" if you DO want to view the general alert notes.

Select "No" if you do NOT want to see the general alert notes.

If "Yes", the general alert notes are displayed.

31.3 Inquiry Options

When the member's data is displayed, a bar menu appears at the bottom of the screen. This menu shows the different actions you can take. For example, you can display member notes, member history, etc.

Note: If the member is or has been an officer, "Offices" is displayed as a menu bar option, and you can get a list of offices held.

Note: "Refer Hist" and "Work Skills" are displayed as options on the menu bar, if you are authorized to review the work referral history and work skills of members.

Next and Exit

Select "Next" to erase the current member display, and get back to the member ID prompt.
