Chapter 42
MEMEMP - Members by Employer Report

The MEMEMP - Members by Employer Report is used to inquire and report on membership by employer information. You can select members and/or non-members, by contractor, job site and referral dates, and how to sort the selected report data within employer.

You can create lists of active members who are currently employed by one or more employers/contractors, or get lists of all members who have been referred to selected contractors during a specified period of time.

This chapter explains how to create members by employer reports.

42.1 Members by Employer Report Input Screen

After MEMEMP is selected from the menu, the members by employer report screen is displayed.

Affiliate ID

Note: If you are a local affiliate user, the affiliate ID and name are displayed, and this prompt is skipped.

Affiliate ID? ________

If a default affiliate ID is provided and it is correct, you can press [Enter] to accept the default. Otherwise, enter the appropriate affiliate ID.

You can enter the affiliate number which is a number from 1 to 99999, or enter the entire affiliate ID.

After the affiliate ID is entered, the affiliate name is displayed.

Membership Selection

You are asked which active members you want to include on the report. You can include members and/or non-members.

Select the appropriate item from the membership menu options.

Contractor/Employer Selection

You are asked for the contractor/employer ID.

Contractor? __________________________________________________ Enter "ALL" if you want to select all contractors

Enter "all" to include all contractors/employers on the report.

Enter one or more characters of the contractor/employer ID or short name.

If more than one contractor/employer ID begins with the entered characters, a menu of contractors/employers is displayed. You can then select a contractor/employer from the list. For example:

You can enter one or more contractors/employers.

Your selections are displayed in the top portion of the screen.

Employee Selection

You are asked if you want to include only the current employees.

Select "Yes", if you want to create a report of members who are currently employed by the selected contractors.

Select "No", if you want to report on members who are currently, or have in the past, been employed by the selected contractors. or If "Yes", the next prompt will be for the sort option.

If "No", you will be asked for job sites and referral dates.

Job Sites

A list of job sites associated with the selected contractors, is displayed, and you are asked to select the job site(s) you want to report on.

Select "all" to include all the job sites.

Select one of the job sites from the menu.

Referral Dates

You can select members who were referred to or accepted jobs during a specific time period.

First, you are asked for the referral start date of the time period you want to report on.

Referred Start date (MMDDYYYY)? FIRST___ Enter FIRST to start at the beginning of the records

Enter "FIRST" to start with the oldest referral/acceptance date.

Enter a referral/acceptance start date in MMDDYYYY format.

Next, you are asked for the end date of the referral/acceptance date range.

Referred End date (MMDDYYYY)? LAST____ Enter LAST to read to the end of the records

Enter "LAST" to include members with the most current referral/acceptance dates.

Enter an end date in MMDDYYYY format.

Sort Selection

The report data is sorted by contractor/employer. You can select how to sort the data within contractor/employer. A list of sort options is displayed, and you are asked to select one of the options.

Select one of the sort options from the menu.

Proceed

You are asked if you want to proceed with creating the members by employers report.

Select "No" to return to the sort option prompt.

Press <ESC> to abort this report procedure.

If "Yes", the report is generated.

ELIGRPT - Officer/Voter Election Eligibility

The ELIGRPT - Officer/Voter Election Eligibility menu option is used by affiliates to create reports of members who are eligible to vote, or who are eligible to be delegates and officers.

You select which members to include on the reports --- only eligible members or all members. If all members are selected, the reports show the reasons why members are not eligible to vote or to be delegates and officers.

The report data is sorted by member name.

This chapter explains how to create officer/voter eligibility reports.

43.1 Eligibility Reporting Input Screen

After ELIGRPT is selected from the menu, the eligibility reporting input screen is displayed.

43.2 Prompts and Responses

The following sections describe the prompts displayed when you create eligibility reports.

Affiliate ID

You are asked for the affiliate ID.

Note: If you are a local affiliate user, the affiliate ID and name are displayed, and this prompt is skipped.

Affiliate ID? ________

If a default affiliate ID is provided and it is correct, you can press [Enter] to accept the default. Otherwise, enter the appropriate affiliate ID.

Note: If a council affiliate ID is entered, all the locals in the council will be included.

You can enter the affiliate number which is a number from 1 to 99999, or enter the entire affiliate ID.

After the affiliate ID is entered, the affiliate name is displayed.

Report Option

You are asked if you want to create a report of members eligible to vote or eligible to be delegates and officers.

Select one of the menu options.

Select Members

You are asked which members you want to include on the report.

Select "Only Eligible Members" to get a list of members who are eligible to vote or to be delegates and officers.

Select "All Members" to list all members, and their eligibility. If a member is not eligible, the reasons why they are not eligible are given.

Output Options

If you select the report option "Eligible to Vote", and select "Only Eligible Members", you can create a report of the members, labels and an export file.

You are asked for the output option.

Select "Report" to create a report.

Select "Labels" to create member labels.

Select "Export File" to create an export file.

Select "finished with outputs" to exit this procedure.

You are asked if you want to proceed with creating the eligibility report.

If "Yes", the eligibility report is generated.

Creating Labels

If you are creating labels, you are asked for the type of labels you want to create.

Select one of the label types.

Proceed with Creating Labels

You are asked if you want to proceed with creating member labels.

Select "No" to go back to the previous prompt.

Press <ESC> to abort this procedure.

If "Yes", the member labels are created.

Creating an Export File

If you create an export file, the following message is displayed, and you can load the export file down to your PC.
