The WORKENTRY - Out of Work List Entry menu option is used by affiliates to put members on out of work lists when they call in. Members from other locals/affiliates who hold current traveler cards, can also be added to out of work lists. Members can also be removed from the out of work lists.
If members are already on out of work lists, the call in date can be updated when the members call in.
If a member does not want to be called during a specific time period, you can enter the dates that referral calls should NOT be made to the member. When "hold calls" dates are entered, the job referral procedure will not display the member as available for a position, during the "hold calls" time period.
This option also allows you to update a member's skill codes and telephone number.

This chapter explains how to put members on out of work lists, enter call in dates, change member skill codes, and change phone numbers.
104.1 Out of Work Entry Screen
After WORKENTRY is selected from the menu, the out of work entry screen
is displayed.

After the out of work entry screen is displayed, you are asked for the member you want to process.
Note Users can be set up to have members' call in dates automatically updated when members are brought up in the Out of Work Entry procedure. (The User Maintenance procedure is used to set a flag in a user's record that allows for automatic call in date updates.) If you are a user who has the "automatic call in date update" flag set, the following out of work entry screen is displayed, and you are asked if you want to continue.

If "Continue to Out of Work Entry" is selected, every member that you enter will automatically have their call in date updated to "today".
Select "Exit to Menu" to return to the main menu.
You should not use Out of Work Entry to just inquire on members in out of work if you do not want their call in dates updated!

Enter the member's name or ID.
After the member's name or ID is entered, some information about the member, and the member's skill codes (if they have been assigned) are displayed. If the member is already on one or more work lists, that information is also displayed. For example:

When the member data is displayed, a menu bar at the bottom of the
screen displays the options you can perform.

104.3 More Skills - Displaying Assigned Skill Codes

The "More Skills" menu option is used to display all of the member's skill codes a page at a time.
When this option is selected, the screen clears and displays the next group of skill codes. At this point, you can select "Prev Skills" to display the skills displayed on the previous screen, or select "More Skills" to display the next group of skills if there are more.
104.4 Work List - Adding/Removing Members on Out of Work Lists

When you select the "Work List" option, the out of work lists that this member can be put on, are displayed. For example:

To put a member on an out of work list, first select the "Add" item on the Worklist Options menu.
Then select the out of work list from the list menu, that you want to put this member on.
If your affiliate is set up so that you can specify work skills for members on work lists, you are asked to select the work skills you want associated with this member on this out of work list.
If, for example, the member has skills A, B, C and D, and he is on two work lists, you can select skills A and C for list 1, and skills B and D for list 2. Or, you can select "all" for all skills for both lists.

Select the work skills you want to include on this out of work list.
After the member is put on the out of work list, you can select the "Modify" option if you need to change work skills on the out of work list.

After you select an out of work list, you are asked if you actually want to put the member on this list.

If "Yes", the member is added to the selected out of work list, and the screen display provides information on the member's status on the list. For example:

After you put a member on a list, the screen display tells you (refer to above example):

Note: The number ranking on the out of work lists, is updated nightly. A nightly process reviews the referred members and adjusts the number ranking accordingly.
At this point, you can select any of the Worklist Options, which are:

Remove | remove the member from an out of work list they are on | |

To remove a member on an out of work list, first select the "Remove" item on the Worklist Options menu.
Then select the out of work list from the work list menu, that you want to remove this member from.
After you select an out of work list, you are asked if you actually want to remove this member from the list.

Select "Yes" to remove the member from the out of work list you selected.
Select "No" to cancel this action.
If "Yes", the member is removed from the selected out of work list.
If the member is currently on one or more out of work lists, AND has accepted a job or been referred to a job, the worklist options menu shows a "Reinstate" item, and the referred date is displayed at the bottom of the screen. For example:

If the member has, for example, just completed the referred job, they can be re-instated to the out of work list(s), and be available for future jobs.
To re-instate a member to an out of work list, select the "Reinstate" option.

You are asked if the temporary job assignment is completed.

Select "Yes" if the job has been completed and you want to re-instate the member.
Select "No" if the job has NOT yet been completed. If "No", no action is taken.
If "Yes", the member is re-instated on the out of work list, and they are available for future jobs.

Refer to Chapter 98, MBRSKILL - Assign Skill Codes to Members, for detail information on skill code maintenance.
Select the "Return to Out of Work Entry" menu item when you have finished making skill code changes.
