Prompts if "No" to "Gets SSN/SIN Displayed on F8 in Mbr Inquiry/Maintenance"

You are asked if this user does employer dues remit entry.

Select "Yes" if the user processes employer dues remittances.

Select "No" if the user does not do employer dues remit entry.

If "No", the user's SSN/SIN access is set to "NONE", and no other access prompts are displayed.

If "Yes", you are asked if the member's SSN/SIN (member ID) should be displayed when doing employer dues remit entry.

Select "Yes" if the member's SSN/SIN (member ID) should be displayed during employer dues remit entry.

If "No", the user's SSN/SIN access is set to "NONE".

Menu Type

You are asked which type of menu you want to set up for this user.

If you selected "Select Standard Menu", a list of the standard menus is displayed and you are asked to select the menu that you want this user to use.

Creating a Custom Menu

If you selected "Create Custom Menu", a list of function groups is displayed. You can then select the functions you want this user to perform, and a customized menu which includes the selected functions, will be created.

If "Yes", this new user account is added. A message tells that the new account has been added, and displays the user ID.

Work on Other Locals

After the user account is added, you are asked if this user is authorized to work on other locals.

Note: This prompt is skipped if this user is a council user, because council users can work with data for any local in the council.

Select "No" if this user can only access data for this local.

If "Yes", you are asked for the information about the other locals that the user can access. See Section 9.2.5, Other Affiliates Access Entry for information on how to enter the data regarding the other locals that the user can work on.

Key User Affiliates Access

If this user is a key user for specific locals in the council, you are asked for the information on the locals that this key user is to have access to. See Section 9.2.6, Maintain Key User Affiliate Access for information on entering key user affiliates.

9.2.5 Other Affiliates Access Entry

If the user can access other affiliates, the following screen is displayed:

Other Affiliate ID

You are asked for the ID of the affiliate that the user can access.

Enter the ID of the affiliate that the user can access.

You can enter the affiliate number which is a number from 1 to 99999.

After the ID is entered, the affiliate name is displayed.

If the entered affiliate ID is not in the user's council, the entry will not be allowed. Only a General Office user can set up cross-council affiliate access.

If a General Office user has entered an affiliate ID not in the user's council, they are asked if the entry should be allowed.

9.2.5.1 Changing Other Affiliate Access Information

You can change the information regarding the other affiliates that the user can access. To make changes, select the "Change Other Affiliate Info" option.

9.2.5.2 Deleting Other Affiliate Access Information

You can delete information regarding the other affiliates that the user can access. To delete other affiliate access information, select the "Delete Other Affiliate Access" option.

You can create a list of the other affiliates that the user can access by selecting the "List Other Accessible Affiliates" option.

9.2.6 Maintain Key User Affiliate Access

If the user is not a key user for the entire council, but only for some of the locals in the council, the following screen is displayed, and you are asked to enter the locals that the user is a key user for.

Select "Add Key User Affiliate" to enter the local affiliates that this user is a key user for.

Local ID

You are asked for the ID of the local that the user is to be a key user for.

Enter the ID of the local affiliate that the user can access. You can enter the affiliate number which is a number from 1 to 99999.

After the ID is entered, the affiliate name is displayed.

Add Key User Local

You are asked if you want to add this local to the list of locals that this key user can access.

If "Yes" the local is added to the key user's affiliate list.

You can continue adding locals until the affiliate list is completed for this key user.

9.2.6.1 Deleting Key User Affiliates

You can delete affiliates from the key user's list of affiliates that they are a key user for.

To delete affiliates, select the "Delete Key User Affiliate" option.

9.2.6.2 Listing Key User Affiliates

You can create a list of the key user affiliates by selecting the "List Key User Affiliates" option.

9.2.7 Changing User Account Records

Select the "Change a User Account" option to change data in a user account record.

The following sections describe the prompts displayed when a user account record is changed.

Find User By Name/ID

You are asked how you want to locate/access the user's record.

Select "User Name" if you want to access the user's record by entering the user name. If this option is selected, you will be asked for the user's first and last names.

After the user name or user ID is entered, the current data in the user account record is displayed. For example:
